Caves Beach Lookout - March, 2021
THE COUPLE | Describing Jade and Glenn in a few words would not do them justice. Both such bright and happy people, with a love of footy, their blended family, camping and good times with friends. Jade is a project manager and general good time gal, Glenn a building supervisor who is a loveable larrikin and always up to make you laugh (check some of the pre-ceremony Budgy Smuggler pics). After a few false starts, they finally got together, and their big day was always on the cards. The combination of two such happy and easy-going people was bound to make for an epic day.
THE VIBE | Needless to say their wedding was very much a reflection of their personalities. Bright, happy and fun. An effortless ensemble of beach chic tones and luxe florals. The pallet for this ceremony was white, fresh green foliage and tan leather.
THE CEREMONY | Perched atop the Caves Beach Lookout, was the expertly put together ceremony by Bonnie from Everlong Events, with an arbour adorned by Bowerbird Blooms. Glenn and his groomsman were ready to roll when the bridal party arrived, Dollface Garage ferried the bride, her maids and the littlest of the ‘I Do” crew in total vintage style. It was time for Jade draped in her Grace Loves Lace dress to walk the aisle. Jade and her ladies had the ultimate beach chic looks created by Neutral Hair Co and Makeup by Stevi.

Jade and Glenn were after a fun but heartfelt ceremony that included a good balance of laughs and love. They asked for elements that would pay respect to their loved ones not able to be there, and include their children Ava, Ella and Korbin. I wove together an honest re-telling of their love story, and we chose a beautiful reading of the poem “May this” by Anon for their eldest daughter Ava to read which entailed wishes for the day and described how this was the first day of the rest of their lives together. Smatterings of humour and good memories coupled with classic romantic themes, the ceremony had both Jade and Glenn and their guests laughing and crying.
THE RECEPTION | Bonnie and her team from Everlong Events did wonders at the Caves Beach Surf Club. Twinkling lights, crisp white and luxe green foliage dressed each table. The bridal table had Jade and Glenn seated at spectacular peacock chairs with “better together” glowing behind them. The night was completed by the ambience master Howard Shearman and his acoustic mastery…
